Elementary Education | AA

The Elementary Education Transfer Major is for those of you who plan to become teachers in elementary schools. This program provides a broad base of general education knowledge while also laying the foundation for a successful experience in the education field. The Elementary Education Transfer Major was designed in conjunction with the Iowa Regents Universities to assist those who wish to transfer into elementary education programs.

This program of study may also be followed by those who wish to transfer to another college or university, but it is critical that you confer with your intended transfer institution early in your academic career. Completing this AA program does not make you eligible for Iowa teacher licensure. You must transfer in order to complete a Bachelor’s degree and a state-approved teacher preparation program.
