Vickie's path to success began as the first female lineperson at Northwestern Bell. After graduating from the WITCC accounting program in 1976 she went to work at a local trucking company in the accounting department. Vickie then began working in Minneapolis for Northwestern Bell in the Engineering Department. Her interest in engineering led her to enroll at St. Paul Technical College in engineering classes.

Vickie worked at Northwestern Bell/US West and Winstar Communications in several engineering positions for over 20 years. In 2004, Vickie took a position with Time Warner Cable and moved into operations. She is currently GVP-Network Operations.
