The Comets Fund was established the year Western Iowa Tech launched itself into the athletics arena. Many changes were made in a relatively short period of time, including renovations to the Dunker Student Center, hiring coaches and support staff, marketing efforts, recruitment of athletes, a new Esports lab, just to name a few. A sizable project in the works now is a new soccer complex on our Sioux City campus. This endeavor will allow our soccer teams to practice and play home games where we can also show off our beautiful campus to visitors.
In addition to the direct changes made to our campus, our student athletes come from all over the world to participate in our athletics program. The Comet Fund also helps support these athletes in the manner of Athletic Scholarships.
