Presidential Search
On behalf of the Western Iowa Tech Community College Board of Directors, we are pleased to share that we have begun the search for the next President of Western Iowa Tech Community College. We are committed to running an equitable, inclusive, and transparent national search that attracts a strong and diverse group of candidates from across Iowa, the region, and the nation.
The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), www.acct.org, is assisting with the search, including development of the Presidential Profile and recruitment of candidates. ACCT has conducted more than 750 community college presidential searches nationwide. Dr. Sandy Caldwell serves as the ACCT Search Consultant and is supporting the College throughout this process.
Presidential Finalists Announced
We are pleased to announce that three finalists have been identified in the search for the next President of Western Iowa Tech Community College.
The search committee reviewed 30 applicants and, following extensive evaluation, interviews, and deliberation, recommended three candidates from a highly competitive pool. Committee members remain bound by confidentiality throughout the process.

The interview schedule includes times for various groups to meet the candidates as well as two open forums for anyone who wants to participate. There is a specific faculty senate meeting for each candidate as well. Please share the open forum information with those who have an interest in WITCC and wish to attend. The sessions are for WITCC employees, students, and the public. The late afternoon session will also have a Zoom webinar so that people may join remotely throughout the college service area. No RSVP is needed.
An electronic feedback survey will be available on each candidate’s interview day. The feedback survey will be available for the small groups as well as the open forum and faculty senate. The anonymous responses to the survey will be used to help inform the Board of Directors on what resonates with you for each candidate and any concerns you may have. The survey will only be available the day of each candidate interview.
