Your transcript is a record of classes taken while at Western Iowa Tech. Choose the appropriate option below for the transcript you need to start the process.

Transcripts will be released when all financial and other obligations with the college have been met. Any amount of money owed to Western Iowa Tech will need to be paid in full before official transcripts can be issued.

Ordering Your Western Iowa Tech Transcript

Western Iowa Tech offers easy and convenient online transcript ordering. you may request an electronic or paper transcript. The convenience fee is $8 per transcript ordered plus applicable sales tax.

Parchment will implement new sales tax requirements on certain credential requests, effective January 6, 2025. This update follows a recent external audit and brings our processes in line with evolving state tax guidelines.

If you attended prior to 1986, you now will be able to choose the electronic delivery option.

You may use your Western Iowa Tech student ID number or last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) to order a transcript. Verify all information before completing an order. Once submitted, requests cannot be edited.

NOTICE:
Iowa Board of Nursing will NOT accept official transcripts electronically from Parchment. Please ensure you select the “Print and Mail” option when ordering transcripts being sent to the Iowa Board of Nursing.

Reverse Credit Transfer

Earn your associates degree or certificate from Western Iowa Tech Community College even after transferring to a four-year institution. Western Iowa Tech students who transfer to a college or university without completing their associates degree are given the opportunity to combine community college and university credits to achieve an associates degree.

Send a High School transcript to Western Iowa Tech

Students may send their official high school transcripts to Western Iowa Tech via mail or email. These must come directly from your high school.

Any prospective student (international, permanent resident or U.S. Citizen) who is applying for admission into any Health Sciences program and who has attended a high school and/or college/university outside the United States must have their foreign transcript(s) translated (if necessary) and evaluated by one of the agencies listed below.

Transferring Credits from Non-US College/University

  • Any prospective student (international, permanent resident or U.S. Citizen) who is applying for admission into any Health Sciences program and who has attended a high school and/or college/university outside the United States must have their foreign transcript(s) translated (if necessary) and evaluated by one of the agencies listed below.
  • International students (coming to the US on a student visa) must have the evaluation sent from that agency directly to:

  • The evaluation must include the results of any examinations required by the country of origin as proof of successful completion (Example: Ordinary Level and/or Advanced Level examination scores).
  • In the event that a student is unable to have their high school transcript translated and evaluated, the student must successfully complete the High School Equivalency Diploma and submit appropriate documentation of completion to the International Education Institute office (see below).
  • All evaluations must include a GPA.
  • At the discretion of the Global Engagement and Partnerships, students applying to non-Health Sciences programs may be required to have their high school transcript evaluated by an accredited agency.
  • Credit from a non-regionally accredited institution outside of the United States may only transfer as equivalent to a specific Western Iowa Tech course. Western Iowa Tech does not accept coursework as transfer elective credit.
  • Courses transferred are not included in your Western Iowa Tech G.P.A.

Verification of completion or for a duplicate diploma/transcript of the GED or HiSET.

Official and duplicate copies of the GED or HiSET diploma/transcript MUST be obtained from:
Diploma Sender at www.diplomasender.com.

Follow these easy steps:

  • Visit Diploma Sender online at: www.diplomasender.com.
  • Create an account with a user name and password.
  • Complete the online order form using a credit, debit, cashier's check or money order for the $15 payment.
  • Check the appropriate delivery method for receipt of your document: email, FedEx, or regular mail.

Adult High School Diploma Transcript (1960-2005)

If you received an Adult High School Diploma from Western Iowa Tech between 1960 and 2005 (different than the GED/High School Equivalency Diploma), contact us at 712.274.6420.

Translation Services

Please note that all transcripts must be in English. If the transcript is not in English, you must then get your transcript evaluated by a credential evaluation service such as World Education Services or  Educational Credential Evaluators  

Transcripts from secondary schools or a GED equivalency are necessary for all incoming students (international, permanent resident, or U.S. Citizens).
