Your 2023-24 FAFSA was selected for review in a process called "Verification". To complete the process follow the steps below:

The best, quickest way for your parents to verify income is by using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool that is part of your online FAFSA:

  1. Go to https://studentaid.gov/ and log into your FAFSA
  2. Click on "make correction"
  3. Using the tabs at the top go to your Parents Financial Information
  4. Answer the questions to determine if you are eligible to link to the IRS
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to transfer your 2021 IRS information onto your FAFSA
    If your parents cannot use the Data Retrieval Tool or they are not required to file a 2021 Federal Tax Return students and parents will need to:
  6. Go to www.irs.gov
  7. Click on "Get Your Tax Records"

To request your transcript be mailed contact the IRS at 800.908.9946 or complete the 4506T form and mail directly to the IRS.

  • If you are unable to get an IRS tax transcript, please submit a signed copy of your parents 2021 Federal Income Tax return and all schedules.

NOTE: If they are not required to file a tax return complete the PARENT INCOME INFORMATION TO BE VERIFIED section on the verification worksheet, submit an IRS non filing letter, and all IRS wage and earnings statements.

Submit these form(s) and other supporting documents (if needed) to Student Financial Services by fax to 712.274.6470 or drop them off in Student Financial Services located on campus.
