What is Educational Talent Search?
WITCC Educational Talent Search is a free program that serves young people in 6th through 12th grade. In addition to academic counseling, participants receive information about college admissions requirements, scholarships, and various student financial aid programs. Participants also have the opportunity to attend college campus visits with the program. Coordinators meet with participants in their schools each month
The program is designed to help students plan for and eventually enroll in college after completion of high school or their GED.
This program helps students who may be considered to be at a disadvantage because of many factors which may include:
- parent(s) who have not graduated from a four-year college
- family income levels
- educational needs

Application Process
Call 800.352.4649 ext 1327 to request an application be sent to you or stop by our office to get an application. You may also contact the coordinator for your school directly. Students can apply in 6th through 12th grades.
Once accepted, a student typically remains a participant until the time they graduate from high school and enter college. Annual re-application is not required.
